This recent spat of camps dividing over break-ups is just disheartening. I have a recommendation for everyone: watch War of the Roses and listen very closely to Danny Devito’s character:
“There is no winning in this, only degrees of losing.”
“How do you make someone stay who wants to leave and how do you make someone go who won’t leave?”
Think about it.

Date: 2004-12-01 07:58 pm (UTC)Sure, the breakup is only the business of the people breaking up. If there were lies made to friends or other issues then I think those people have a right to say something as well (about the lies, not the breakup).
I'm not tossing my hat into anyone's corner. I just think that the issues need to be clearly stated (breakup vs. other issues) and addressed/commented on by those involved.
The rest of us have choices to make whether to get involved or just hope it blows over soon enough.
*plink plink* my shiny two coppers.
(Oh, and you deleted your post this morning before I could comment but I wanted to say, "Amen.")

Polarization and Drama go hand in hand. And I keep my drama-shields on high, for the most part. ;-)
