Lounging on the isthmus
Mar. 20th, 2005 01:57 pmSo, I am currently relaxing in the office of my Madison boyfriends' home, absently listening to E! and searching through the back alleys of Bear411. It's been a very satiating weekend; I'm feeling very serene and content while the world of ice outside melts down into Spring ( I so hope).
I've had three successive weekends of joy in overdrive, and I understand my great fortune in this... the world is calling though, and I have to put some final elements in place before I put my childhood home up for sale. I'm not upset or disturbed, and in fact I'm looking forward to closing out that chapter of my life. It's high time I moved beyond the confines of my old house, even if the confines are just there in spirit. The house has been rehabbed and only needs a few minor touches before it is perfect; my realtor is chomping at the bit to put the property on the market.
School has been both a bit more demanding than I thought it would be as well as more rewarding. Last Monday I barely slept as I frenetically threw a business plan together for my class on Small Business Marketing & Finance. My teacher seemed impressed by my presentation the week before and I'm hoping that translates into a high grade for the class overall. In the meanwhile I've signed up for Business 161: Entreprenuership and will be looking to enroll in Business 150: International Business as well. This will be the first time I've taken on two classes and I'm hoping I'm capable of handling it. If not, my journey towards a degree will take very, very long indeed.
I'm going to let my imagination flow free today and work on some ideas I've had languishing at the back of my brain for games or stories, what have you. Within the hour I'll go with Shane to pick Jim up from work and then we'll spend a blissfully quiet night in before I leave for home.
