vianegativaAh, the wonders of waking up at 9:30 AM. I'll never get used to that.
Anyway, yesterday was a blast, despite my being curmudgeonly. I awoke at 1:30 PM (DEAR GOD, why didn't anybody wake me sooner? I was in a coma!)and bumped around on ISPQ until John & Johnny brought back food for Mike & I. Early on, I guess they all were wanting to go to Magic Waters in Rockford, but Narcolepsy Lad nipped that in the bud. After hemming & hawing for a few hours, we hit the local waterpark, which is a pretty big affair for Lombard, including two rather large waterslides.
You know, it has been 15+ years since I've set foot in an actual locker room. Seeing Big Burly Stroller Daddies changing (and certainly in the buff) was... distracting. Most distracting was this built, burly Daddy with 5 O'clock shadow...
*ahem* I digress.
Anyway, despite the fact that it took some convincing for me to go, I enjoyed it. John & Johnny loved it as well, but unfortuneately Mike had to stay behind to finish grades. He would have loved it.
When we got back two hours or so later, I settled back into reading my Raveloft book for the 100th time. I was roused from this by Mike, whom got a wild hair up his ass to go to Dave & Buster's of all places. So, off we trudged to Addison, and after a fair meal I WHIPPED LORD VADER'S ASS on the Star Wars Trilogy Arcade game! Woo-hoo! I was openly cheering after I beat that bad MoFo. Every time prior that I've played that game, I lost, but I was on my A game and delivered the Sith smackdown. VRY grtifying.
After that I had a "potrait" done by a machine using photoshop filters that emulated the great Renaisance artists. I chose Michelangelo, and if I can learn to post the picture, I will. In any case we all came back exhausted and ready for slumber.
I'm told afer I get back from a Lunch date with my friend Karl we may go to Great America... this is the closest thing I've had to a vacation in years, but I need to work at full-steam on the projects ahead of me, specifically, getting a JOB.
