A small thought for a birthday cub.
Oct. 11th, 2001 11:06 amHey you.
Yeah, you, the cub who got hurled into the swirling chaos of this world some 20 years and some change ago.
I've got a few things I'd like to say to you on this day you first drew breath.
I am proud of you.
You have moved out from under the constraints of your parents and moved to not just a city, but THE CITY, the biggest bloody one in the world. You've had some setbacks, and you've been scared, but you're doing well for yourself. I'm proud to see that you have gained more confidence and surety in your life and that you're looking at moving past some of the things that used to mire you down.
I am happy that you found your bears.
I will admit, I was concerned at first with how the relationship would pan out. You're a special cub, and feel more readily than most, and I was afraid that the two gentleman interested in you would move on or hurt you in some way. I was glad I was wrong about them and their intentions. They have been very good for you and I think the three of you will be happy for some time to come.
If I can leave you will one thought, it will be this: Never forget that you have it within you to exceed your circumstances and that you are truly a beautiful person, through and through. I hope you learn the thing all your friends know as fact: You are a wonderful person and you are loved by your friends, family, and bears.
Happy Birthday, Sean. Your bear in Chicago loves you
