It's not help for your specific case (wanting pictures of yourself), but for other icon needs, http://www.livejournal.com/allpics.bml?user=name will show you all of name's pictures, so if you've seen ones you like and are considering, go looking.

I think I cropped it, but they may be your naughty bits in it still. I need to get some better images of you. Maybe I have the opportunity to do something surreal with one of them.
