I saw that they released the news of this in the New York Times, and wooooo lesbians everywhere jumped up and down.

I like the costume design, seeeing as it looks heavily based on the Batman Beyond costume design, I just hate the mask. It does'nt seem very Batman ish...it looks more Wolverine style.

But regardless, the Bat-Universe is surely gonna be more interesting LOL

as for what happened to Batgirl...well the original got shot in the belly and was paralyzed from the waist down by the Joker...now she's Oracle, the info-hub for every hero in the DC Universe, and the other Batgirl went rogue and is now the terrorist leader of the League Of Assassins...

I was meaning the latest version of Batgirl... I love Babs in Birds of Prey. Gail Simone kicks ass, and I really love her new Secret Six.

Personally, I like Batgirl 2. I hope she is redeemed/returns to heroics. I am quite plainly tired of the "I'm-a-hero-but-I-went-rogue-now-I'm-a-hero-again" retread plot.

Batgrrrl's new revised herstory...

Batgirl formally changed her name to Batgrrrl her freshmyn year at Bryn Mawr. On a weekend trip to New York City, Batgrrrl summoned up the courage to visit the lesbian S&M club The Litter Box where she met Cheetah. They had a brief but passionate affair followed by a messy breakup requiring a restraining order enforced by none other than Diana Prince. With Cheetah's increasingly erratic behaviour, Diana Prince thought it would be safer for Batgrrrl to hideout on Paradise Island. After several months (and several long-term relationships), Batgrrrl decided it was time to return to the outside world. She re-emerges as Batwomyn (not Batwoman as CNN erroneously reports) in July.

The Batwomynmobile™ will be a souped-up Ford F150 to which she did ALL of the modifications herself. She didn't need any batMAN to help her.

My question? Will she also be the 'batwoman' for the DC All Stars fast-pitch softball team?
