Ugh to you, Monday

vianegativaToday is not off to a running start.
I was late to work today after my car died and I had to hoof it to the train station where, of course, the train was twelve minutes late. I ended up being nearly an hour late to work...
...where I found out one of the clients I introduced to a broker went stark-raving psycho, and had gone from being a hash mark in the "win" column for me to a big freaking check in the "extreme pain in the ass" column. The broker I recommended him to told me he was no longer interested in referrals (and the subtle hint was "FROM ME"), meaning I have had another possibility for revenue cut off, and further my credibility looks like shit because I signed up this mook. Top that off with another big client deciding to wait to open his account and my morning has been pretty annoying.
So: Fuckity Fuck.
Overall, the weekend was good; Gen Con was a bit less "shiny" than previous years in terms of new releases, but the weekend was fun overall. I'll write a bit more about that from home, because I'm going to take my sour mood & see if I can make lemonade.
