On The Road

I just found out recently that I will be travelling to Portland, Or. between October 3rd through 7th to visit my dear friend Kevin, aka CAJeepCub or CountryKub. This will be the first time I have crossed past the state of Colorado, and my first time on THE WEST COAST.

I'm actually thrilled to death to be going. even though I'll be a poor bairkub.

If there are any LJ'ers out Portland way or close by, gimme a holler! I'll basically be hanging for 3-4 days with no real plans yet and dinner or getting together for coffee would be great.

Off to pack up my games at the house. Joy. Wish me luck.

Two words: Multnomah Falls. It's an absolute must-see, and it should be gorgeous right now. It's the second-highest cascade in the U.S. Definitely a must-visit-and-walk-to-the-top thing. There's a pretty brook at the top of the mountain.

My current "Happy" icon -- the one I just used -- was taken there. It's a supremely serene place. And you'll get to see a good chunk of the Columbia River Gorge on the way, too!
