A Brief Update

This weekend was, as planned, far quieter than the past few weeks have been. I kept it intentionallly so because I desperately needed a recharge after last week. With Mike being sick in Wisconsin earlier in the week, Cindy passing on Thursday and work being generally chaotic I needed some quiet time. On both Friday night and Saturday I stayed in the house, only venturing out to do some shopping on Saturday and to pick up comicbookcub, who is staying at my house until he enters a housing program this week.

My only accomplishments of merit, I think, were doing some light cleaning and levelling my rogue Eridanis up to level 14 on Stormscale in World of Warcraft. Sunday I had lunch with redbullbear68 at Sweet Tomatoes and chewed the fat about the finer points of gamemastering. Bouncing ideas off of another GM's head is something I've sorely needed to do for a long time, and as I spoke to Kerry I felt my creative neurons start to pop again. We capped off the afternoon by visiting the shopping mall for some people watching.

This week I'm trying to keep the leisurely pace of the weekend in full effect. I want to recuperate my energies a bit since I have both Wizard World and Gen Con looming on the horizon in the next few weeks, both of which will tax my nerdity (and wallet) to its limits. For the time being, I'm just going to straighten the house & nap as much as time allows during the week.

Back to work. Meh. :-)
