I made some cuts to my friends list today; just a few really, mostly folks that hadn't posted in forever or who's journal was friends only and hadn't tapped me back.

I am contemplating, however, making some serious cuts in my journal since there are a lot of folks I don't really even speak to, or haven't in years. No need to let them see the goodie basket and moreover this is feeding my new kick to get validation somewhere other than from outside sources. We'll see.

I've kind of been feeling the same way lately. There are a few people I've friended and it's taken me a while to say "Woah, you're kind of wacko!" (no, you're not one of them)

The validation epidemic gets tiresome. Yet it's difficult to view responses as completely objective because the information used to base said response to is potentially biased.

Anyway, I feel ya on this and I know we haven't exchanged too many conversations so if I get cut then I'm cool. (And don't you hate responses to entries regarding potential cuts like, 'zOMG I totally don't say what I think you want to hear and PLEEEEEEEEEZE don't cut me!!!!' LOL)

I definitely understand. *HUG* Sometimes the "Friends" moniker isn't as accurate as it should be. There's close friends, so-so friends and then distant friends.

Sadly, sometimes the distant friends are more friends than the close ones.

Hi!

I realize this is an old entry I'm responding to :) But I wanted to say hello, and that I've added you as a friend. I found your journal through lucentnotion's journal, and like what I've read here, and you seem like a cool person. So, I'm adding ya ;)

To give you an idea of who I am, I'm in Austin Texas, partnered to an *incredible* cub, and we've recently been trying to get out of our shell and to do something about our utter lack of social life. Here's hoping to get to know you :) Please feel free to check out my journal if you get a chance.
