Today we took a picture at the office, just Liene, our ravishing intern, and my two co-workers. I first took a picture of the three of them, then she took one of us three.

Upon seeing the picture on her digital cam I mused, "I look red-headed and fat."

Without missing a beat Liene said, "Yup. That's what you are."

Um, OUCH.

Let's make the assumption that she was trying to be helpful -- there are many better ways to convey that message. But she wasn't trying to be helpful -- she was shooting for "spunky" and hit "obnoxious". However ravishing she is, you now know something about her that makes her just a bit plainer.

Luscious Liene is a loquacious Latvian.

She has yet to master English, it was actually cute when she said it. I just periodically like to hear I'm attractive from women as a truer barometer of conventional attractiveness.

I suppose I wasn't ready for "blunt" today.
