Flakery

I am fucking livid.

Two friends of Mike's who are uninsured asked him for my help. Despite the fact that I wouldn't really get much for helping them, I worked up quotes, contacted providers, etc. all to make sure they were squared away. Knowing they were a bit flaky I got into a HUGE fight with my partner Mike over the fact they demanded I meet them on their terms, etc. I told him they'd keep blowing me off, he seemed to think I was being unfair.

He we are, two phone appointments blown-off and three face-to-face meetings blown off. In a week.

I want to throw rocks at these flaky bitches.

unfortunately one runs into this in small business quite a lot, and it is the reason there is normally a consultation fee, deposit, or something along those lines - people rarely take it seriously unless there is money on the line.

They turned out to be my first two sales, so I just needed to show patience instead of screaming up and down, "I want!! I want!!"

Seems to me to be a lesson to be patient sometimes.
